The benefits of the Armed Forces Vacation Club is that members can stay at locations for $369 per week. This rate is for hotels and resorts that Wyndham Worldwide manages.
This is an excellent price BUT… the catch is that to get this rate you will have to travel OFF-SEASON or be able to travel within short notice. For example you will need to be able to go on holiday within 10 days or less.
If you are US military personnel (or civilians with specific military duties), this is an excellent deal for you.
However, if you cannot travel on such short notice and want to travel during peak times, the Global Resorts Network membership may be a better alternative for you.
Armed Forces Vacation Club – Eligibility
The Armed Forces Vacation Club is for individuals and relatives who meet the following criteria:
- Member of the Uniformed Services or an adult dependant (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy; active duty and both active and inactive reserve and National Guard)
- Foreign exchange service member on permanent duty with the Department of Defense
- Retired Member of the Uniformed Services or an adult dependant (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy)
- Civilian employees of the DoD (appropriated, non-appropriated, or retired) or an adult dependant
- American Red Cross personnel serving overseas with the U.S. military
- DoD Dependant School teacher or an adult dependant
